I bought a Bob SIM off Ebay in the UK, took it on holiday to Austria, added a 10 EUR credit bought at the local SPAR, then bought 1GB of data for 4 EUR by texting "ein" to 691. I put the SIM into an IPAD and used it all week, for Skype as well as surfing, worked OK, used just under 600MB in the week. SIM is now going on Ebay for resale as I am back home.

I have bought a Bob Broadband card at the local Austrian post office (St Anton) and insisted that the man activate it immediately (politely). It seemed to work, but 2hours after getting home and surfing the Internet the thing ran out of credit. I did not use 1gb. By the way coverage is excellent. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and bought another recharge the next day. Ran out within a few hours. Have found that the 1gb cannot be activated, call hotline hangs up on me, and the post man assures me that (after repeatedly trying to help me fix the problem and activate the 1gb data option - apparently you need to text "JA"'or "EIN" to 691 - which should confirm that the data card option is activated) but in my case when I check by surfing a few websites at the post office, and then check my balance, It is down a few cents each time meaning they are deducting my credit as if the data pack has not been activated (I.e. Rip off) yet when I text the voucher they automatically text back saying the data pack has been activated. The post man assured me that it could only be technical problems - will try again tomorrow. This is a scam, a terrible product so avoid at all costs! Do A1 ... They might be better
